This app really makes what it say. It has a friendly text that allow you to learn without getting a headache. I got the full now.
However, I dont know what Im saying yet and Ive been recycling the first two chapters the whole month. There should be more practice words and phrases with their meanings as you learn. Still, great app!
Im Brazilian and I started to study Japanese by myself about ten years ago. I really like the way the app is and guess how could be if I had it when I started to learn Japanese.

I am really enjoying to learn the first steps on Japanese language with this App. It is great!
I was curious, so I chose to download the lite app, it starts really with the basics of learning Japanese. Im already an advanced learner, so it had no use for me at all, but I still enjoyed to flip through this beautiful app. Wherever you look, you notice that it was created with a lot of love for detail and care. The texts are easy to read and provide interesting background info and not just plain lessons with exercises. The design is beautiful and very nihon-like ^_^
But its not just plain text-reading, the chapters are often interrupted by entertaining quizzes like Kana-pairs or different vocabulary exercices. And a light tap on the japanese vocab fields activates an audio file with a native speaker giving you the exact pronounciation. Really a perfect piece of work!

This app is a great resource to learning Japanese! The way everything is taught feels very natural and is easy to learn! This is a definite recommendation to those who want to learn a new language.
I am taking intro Japanese class and downloaded this app as a supplement. Ive found it to be as good (better in some ways) as attending class and much better than reading Genki 1 textbook alone. Clear, understandable and very interesting/ engaging. Fantastic app!

I went through a few Japanese apps. Being the weeaboo I am, this app is awesome; it walks you through the language in great depth. It has quizzes with a points system. Honestly thats my favorite part, and it provides Japanese lore and explanations for the way the words are. It feels like you are talking to someone; it is like you have your own personal teacher when you use this app. The interactive quizzes are great.
This is a great app because it systematically approaches understanding Japanese language and hiragana in a way that is clear, and can be learned at your own pace. His approach demystifies the hiragana and i am excited to learn to read at the same time as speak. I work with Japanese patients and workers and it will be great to continue these studies because your format of instruction is so straightforward. I definitely recommend this app highly!
